Crazy Bird

Starbucks:  One of the worlds largest coffee company's and one of the most health conscious coffee company's at that, I am very surprised they do not offer almond milk as an option for lattes.  I love meeting clients there early in the morning, (especially once the fall and winter roll around)  and I particularly enjoy the Vanilla Rooibus hot tea latte. Because I do not consume dairy products, of course I ask what options of milk of they have. The barista looked at me like I was a crazy bird and hesitantly replied I think we have soy?? When I got that answer, I knew better than to ask if they had almond milk by chance... but I did anyway. Her reply "ALMOND MILK?? UM.. NO WE DONT...( with another crazy bird look)" So I went ahead and ordered the tea with soy milk and I went on my way without leaving any complaints behind.

  1. Speak up, speak up! If you really want society to change it all starts with your actions not just your words on paper or the computer! :) Next time ask the gal/guy if they have a suggestion box or if you could talk to the manager. If the manager comes out, first give a compliment i.e. "as a health conscious/vegetarian consumer I really appreciate the fact that you offer so many ways to customize orders such as offering soy milk...then your suggestion... but I was wondering if you would ever consider adding almond milk as one of those options?" No matter the response, the nest step is going to the website and leaving corporate feedback :) Remember it's not a complaint it's constructive feedback. Good luck "CRAZY BIRD"!!

  2. Oh, and thanks for the tea suggestion! I will definitely try it next time I'm there! (I'm not a coffee drinker)
